The BodyTalk System™
Healing the BodyMind From Within

When you combine the clinical findings of Applied Kinesiology, the expertise of Western medicine, the energy dynamics of acupuncture, and the wisdom of modern physics and advanced mathematics, what do you get? A state-of-the-art integrative holistic health-care paradigm: The BodyTalk System is currently one of the fastest growing complementary holistic health-care systems in the world!

What is BodyTalk? It is a comprehensive and dynamic system of energy medicine that is constantly evolving. It unifies a large number of highly recognized healing methods and principles of knowledge into one all-encompassing system. BodyTalk addresses the bodymind from a truly holistic perspective and recognizes that the physical, mental, and emotional components are inseparable; hence, all levels are worked on concurrently. The BodyTalk System does not diagnose or address diseases on a symptom level; it creates an energy balance in the body that involves the body's own innate restorative powers. It can be used as a stand-alone system to address all physical, mental, and emotional health issues and can also be integrated to support any other health-care modality to enhance its effectiveness and promote even faster healing.

What Makes BodyTalk Unique? It has several assets. Similar to how the majority of an iceberg is submerged, symptoms are simply the superficial effects of much deeper areas which require healing. This happens most effectively and efficiently with the use of a key BodyTalk principle: working with priority. Instead of practitioners evaluating symptoms to determine a diagnosis and course of treatment, neuromuscular biofeedback, a form of muscle testing, is used. This allows evaluation of which areas of the bodymind need to be addressed first, in accordance with the body's inner ability to heal. For example: If the liver was detoxified prior to ensuring the intestines were digesting and eliminating properly, the individual may get sicker if the toxins are not being released from the body.

Working with indicated priorities ensures expedient healing and can virtually eliminate the so-called "healing crisis." This is not to say that no effects will follow a session. People commonly feel relaxed and peaceful and may experience shifts, such as a healthy immune response to a microbial infection, or a desire to drink water to enhance hydration of the body. Prior to starting, permission is obtained via neuromuscular biofeedback to ensure that the bodymind is optimally ready and willing to fully address health at all levels. Once areas of priority are determined, they are then addressed through techniques using light touch and tapping the top of the head, over the brain, and the centre of the chest, over the heart.

Tapping the head focuses the brain on evaluating and restoring the lacking communication or synchronicity. Should human error occur and the indicated areas are actually not a priority for the bodymind to address, then the brain cannot recognize what to focus on and no changes transpire. Accordingly, no harm can occur. Tapping the heart is the equivalent of pressing the save button on your computer, enabling permanent storage of this new healthy communication within the bodymind.

To summarize, BodyTalk does not diagnose and uses non-invasive techniques that cannot cause harm in accord with the priority of its inner wisdom. It is truly holistic and complementary to other health-care modalities with which it can be seamlessly integrated. It is easy to learn and can be used by health-care professionals and laypersons alike to support optimal health within self, family, loved ones, and pets.
How Does BodyTalk Work? Areas in the bodymind that lack communication or synchronicity are addressed with the application of practical, effective techniques to facilitate well-being from within. This is done in an individual manner. No two clients, even those with seemingly identical symptoms, will have the same areas that are not communicating or working as a team with the bodymind. Much like the expression "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for life," BodyTalk facilitates the body's ability to heal itself. Once the body's innate restorative powers are empowered with this new enhanced communication, it is then able to more effectively heal the bodymind from within, enabling lasting patterns of good health.

How Did BodyTalk Develop? Dr. John Veltheim studied a multitude of modalities including chiropractic, acupuncture, kinesiology, bioenergetics, osteopathy, sports medicine, counselling, comparative philosophy and theology, and he was Principal of Brisbane College of Acupuncture and Natural Therapies in Australia for seven years. He developed BodyTalk in the 1990s following a personal health crisis, and soon after started his BodyTalk practice. In 1998, he began to train other practitioners and instructors throughout the world. Today BodyTalk is taught in more than 37 countries, with over 2,600 Certified BodyTalk Practitioners and 85 instructors, and it is continuing to grow at an exponential rate.

What Can BodyTalk Do For You? BodyTalk can address issues on all levels-physical, mental, emotional, spiritual-as well as play a key role in health maintenance and prevention. Excellent results have been seen in commonly addressed issues such as arthritis, headaches, back pain, chronic fatigue, stress, sports injuries, sports performance, emotional disorders, learning disorders, infections, digestive disorders, endocrine disorders, pain, and allergies. This applies to humans, animals, plants, and more!
