Volume 13 Issue1—May/June 2007

Welcome to the 12th anniversary issue. I still find it hard to believe that my gypsy-like personality allowed me to stay in one place for so long. It must be that I am enjoying myself and feel settled, which I believe is the case. At the beginning, however, I was very unsettled and often struggled with thoughts of whether to continue or to move onto something else. The truth is I couldn’t think of what else I might like to do so I stayed on this path. Now that I have been the publisher and editor for a dozen years I feel blessed and grateful for having continued. I am rather proud of myself and my achievements. Through my many experiences at this work I have learned to know myself more fully, and I feel this has allowed me to be of greater service to everyone.

I was inspired to start this kind of journal in January, 1995, and the first issue was published in May/June of that year, so it didn’t take long. I had lots of help along the way from both the visible and invisible worlds. Every time I asked a question or for help, it was always answered and help was there. It is a beautiful feeling to trust that the universe is guiding and supporting you—that is what was happening then and is still happening for me. I feel very blessed to be serving our community in this way, and I thank each and every one of you who supports me and WHOLifE. At least once a week someone tells me how much they appreciate the work I do and that encourages me to continue, knowing I am being of service to others.

WHOLifE has now begun another new year and I look forward having you all as an integral part of it. The world is speeding up and we are in for more exciting times ahead. This new paradigm shift is challenging each of us to wake up more quickly to the truth of who we are and what our purpose is here on the planet. The world needs us to do this for the sake of the whole. We must all learn to be more other-centred. These new times are about giving and knowing that as we give, so shall we receive. The gift is for the giver, as well as the receiver. Caroline Myss’s latest book, Entering the Castle, speaks about the importance, at this time on our planet, for each of us to enter our own castle, which means a journey into the centre of one’s soul, and from the self-knowledge gained there we can each learn to understand the necessity to serve others who come into our lives. Myss says this is not the easiest journey but it is the most divine.

I feel that by providing this journal for our community I am doing my part to help the process of bringing everyone closer together. It gives people the opportunities to get their messages out to those who are looking for answers and ways to help them have a more fulfilling and healthy life. When folks are happy and healthy it will become contagious and eventually the whole world will be that way. When we all totally love and care for each other there will be no need for wars and violence and we will all want to live together in peace. This is possible, we just need to practice loving more and being afraid less. As any musician knows, greatness doesn’t happen magically, it takes practice, perseverance, and dedication to something that brings one great joy and love. May we all regularly practice doing things we love.

Creating this new anniversary issue with those involved in the process has been another joy-filled experience. Thank you, everyone! May you know your contributions are wonderful, educational, loving, gentle, caring, uplifting, healing, insightful, heart-warming, tender, inspiring, and the list goes on. Thank you, dear readers, for your support of the advertisers, the writers, and me. Please enjoy all the wonders and treasures inside this issue. I am confident you will be delighted! Remember your feedback is very important to us and most welcome, so be sure to send an email or a regular mail letter, or even a phone call. We love to know your thoughts on what is inside the journal.

May you and yours keep well and happy, and may love and laughter fill your days and be your best medicine!

Have a happy Spring and Summer!

Namaste!
(I honour the Spirit in you!)
