The Principles of People’s Health Alliance

Take personal responsibility for our own health;
Work collaboratively, together, as practitioner and patient;
Everyone is equal regardless of our role;
Access to healthcare is a right, not a privilege;
Welcome everyone;
Embrace an integrative approach to health;
Acknowledge the role of nature in healing;
Recognize the importance of preventive care.
Founding Members of PHA UK are Katherine Macbean, Amanda Dungate, Lisa Dunnington, and Hari Athi

People’s Health Alliance in the UK was launched in April 2022 and has spread across the British Isles at a phenomenal rate. It consists of hubs across the country connecting people to health professionals in each district. PHA is a safety net for people to have access to health care, as the National Health Service (NHS) is becoming overwhelmed. Other countries are adopting these ideas, and creating the same structures based on the PHA blueprint. It is my dream that people will come together across Canada and create the same safety net for Canadians.

Here is information about PHA, which I have taken from their website www. https://the-pha.org/.

PHA started with a grand, yet simple, vision for the future. A future where Big Pharma no longer has control over us; where the power of choice is returned to the individual and we shift the paradigm from treating disease to creating health.

How do we achieve this? By creating an organic, people-led approach to healthcare, bringing everything back to community level, for the people, by the people.

PHA is here to facilitate your ideas, inspirations, and creations within your local communities. Collaborations, connections, and support.

Health is far more than treating the symptoms of disease. We know that true health comes from taking an integrated approach, considering mind, body, and spirit.

PHA wants to support you to take ownership of your own health choices. How that looks will be different for each person, but we want to encourage every single one of you to start viewing these choices as an investment in the health of your future self.

People’s Health Alliance hopes to inspire you to shift your perceptions and mindset around healthcare. It’s time to start listening to yourself. Your body can tell you all sorts of things when you quiet your mind and really start to get in tune with it. We have been conditioned to look outside of ourselves for too long. It’s time to go within. It’s time to reconnect with nature and all of the healing qualities it holds.

PHA is a people-led movement that encourages local communities to set up their own local hubs filled with knowledgeable practitioners who offer a range of individualized health services. Access to the PHA website is free. The Health Hub Blueprint and Health Optimization Program are gifted to you, free of charge, as we feel very strongly that this information needs to be shared far and wide. PHA’s role is one of facilitator—supporting those who wish to set up their own health hubs. Our organization does not provide any medical services ourselves, we simply facilitate the connections with healthcare practitioners at a primary care level. We are not in a position to support secondary or acute care at this stage. PHA has a Health Recovery Program that may support those with vaccine injuries, long covid, and a range of inflammatory conditions. Please always seek medical advice in the first instance.

How to establish a community hub

PHA has a comprehensive hub blueprint that will be sent to you when you subscribe to our newsletter which will be a great starting point. We can also help to connect you with others who are establishing their own community hubs across the country. If this is something you’re interested in, join our Telegram channel https://t.me/ThePeoplesHealthAlliance. PHA shares information freely, and offers all templates of their knowledge to assist people in getting started.

Longer term, we will be creating a forum to enable you to connect with others in your local area. We want to create a community of like-minded individuals and will do all we can to support you.

I am a practitioner—what will I get by joining a community hub?

As a member of a community hub, your contact details will be listed in the practitioner directory, giving you access to patients looking for your services. You will work in an ethical, patient-focused primary care setting with others pursuing the same vision. All services will be supported equally—conventional medicine will work alongside holistic therapies—to offer a true integrated approach to health.

A PHA Canada forum; I (Felicity) offered to be a moderator so that this could be organized. I have observed that people would like this kind of organization, but are not stepping forward to create it. We have to all come together to create our own community hubs assistance for health. There is also a Telegram group, PHA Canada, that you can join to connect with others and find out more.

Katherine Macbean (one of the founders of PHA) is about to launch People’s and Farmer’s Alliance, connecting farmers and communities together so that people can be responsible for their own food sources. www.pha-canada.org
