Coffee Spoons
Mustering Your Muse at Manitou

by David Schleich, PhD

When the urge to write sneaks up your spine, there’s no hiding out. You may want to eschew the impulse, but if a poem, story, diary, journal, or memoir is on the tip of your pen, the train has already left the station. There are many reasons this happens. One writer I know speaks of how writing helped steer her out of isolation, find solidarity with others, and understand her thoughts and demons. She is an unstoppable writer.

Why a Personal Commitment to the Path of Peace Can Change the World
by Jade:ll:Cathy Chicoine

How can we apply our creative genius to writing a whole new story for ourselves and for humanity? How do we create a reality that looks more like a dream and less like a nightmare? We do this by knowing our true power and by wielding it wisely. I am going to suggest as something to try on, that it is accomplished by personally committing to the path of peace as the true North Star by which we navigate our lives.

Your Inner Light
by Michael Stodola

Have you been taken over by a mind virus, or is your inner light shining? Many are unconscious of their power to shine. Many let other intentions occupy their mind space, and this is compounded as they immerse themselves in technologies such as the internet, videos, cell phones, and news programs. Oops, did I just say "programs?” Am I revealing the poorly kept intention that all media is designed to program us? Many are allowing themselves to be controlled through trauma-based mind control energies, which they invite in without discrimination. Where does your attention lie?

“Next Year” Is Here...Enjoy Lentils!
by Hazel Tanner

At time of writing, the strange weather season that was 2021 has drawn to its autumnal conclusion, and winter is blowing wildly in! Here at Pure T Organics, I and David Tanner have just celebrated fifty years of marriage, and as many years of farming in this beautiful location on the banks of the Cottonwood Creek, ten miles west of Regina. God has richly blessed us over the years with two children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandsons! How quickly those decades sped by.

What is Biofield Tuning?
by Linda Wirt

(BT) is a sound healing method that provides targeted nervous system relaxation. Sound is an ancient healing medium that has been utilized around the globe for thousands of years. When utilized consciously and intentionally, sound has the potential to soothe the nervous system, quiet and focus the mind, settle emotions, relieve pain, and more. From song and chant, to gong and bowl, to orchestra and jamming, and to bands, music and sound transports us to the present moment, alive, aware, engaged, in flow.

Quinoa – A Super Food for Your Dog
by Dr. Janice Elenbaas

Quinoa has a history dating back to the Incas, over 5,000 years ago. Like many “ancient grains,” it disappeared in 1532 with the arrival of the Spanish. The Inca culture was destroyed and quinoa fields were burned. Only small amounts survived in the mountains of Peru. In the 1970s, a renewed interest in this super food began. This plant is unique. The leaves can be eaten like spinach (they are in the same family), and the seeds used as a grain. So, technically, quinoa is a seed. It is also gluten free and chock full of nutrients that are good for all of us, including our dogs!
